A leading, global, publicly traded real estate investment trust is seeking a skilled desktop support engineer to join their New York office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting their end users by managing desktop environments. Deploying new software, imaging machines, and maintaining internal systems. As part of a small technical team you will have the opportunity to work across various IT functions , gaining exposure to both server and networking operations.
Responsibilities will include;
- Providing day-to-day desktop support to end users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and peripheral issues.
- Managing the deployment and imaging of desktops and laptops, ensuring efficient and standardized processes.
- Perform routine maintenance, including replacing hardware components such as keyboards, mice, and monitors.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues and handle the disposal of electronic waste and recycling.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and Infrastructure Operations teams to resolve issues received via the ticketing system, ensuring tickets are monitored and closed efficiently.
